Groundwork and concrete from one team

A perfect slab starts well before the truck arrives. We offer earthmoving and site preparation so the pad is cut, levelled and compacted exactly how the pour needs it — no coordinating two separate contractors.

From house and shed pads to driveways, rural hardstands and drainage, we prepare the ground and then pour the concrete, keeping the whole job under one roof and one quote.

How we do it — our concreting process

A great slab starts well before the concrete truck arrives. Offering earthmoving and site preparation alongside our concreting means the pad is cut, levelled and compacted exactly how the pour needs it — and you deal with one crew and one quote instead of coordinating two contractors and hoping they agree.

  1. Site assessment and quote. We look at levels, access, drainage and the ground conditions, then price the earthworks and the concrete together.
  2. Clearing and cut. We clear the area and cut or bench the site to the right level, including steep Adelaide Hills blocks that need careful benching.
  3. Fill and compaction. We bring the pad up where needed and compact it in layers to create a stable, load-ready base.
  4. Drainage and falls. We correct falls and install basic drainage so water runs away from the slab and buildings.
  5. Straight into concrete. With the pad ready, the same crew forms up and pours — no waiting, no finger-pointing.

Workmanship and standards

The quality of the groundwork decides how the finished slab performs. Poorly compacted or badly drained fill is one of the most common causes of slabs and driveways settling and cracking, so we take compaction and drainage seriously. On sloping sites we bench and retain as required to create a safe, stable platform, and we always set the ground up so the concrete that follows has the support it needs underneath.

One crew from dirt to finished slab

The biggest advantage of having your earthworks and concrete done by the same team is accountability. When one contractor cuts the pad and another pours the slab, any problem becomes a debate about whose fault it is — the base or the concrete. With us, there is no gap: we prepare the ground to suit the pour because we are the ones pouring it. That also saves you time and coordination, keeps the job moving, and usually works out more cost-effective than booking two separate trades and managing the handover between them.

What we do

Our earthmoving and site-prep work includes site cuts and levelling, shed, house and driveway pads, compaction and base preparation, bulk earthworks, trenching and drainage. It pairs naturally with our slab, driveway and rural concreting work across the Hills, Morgan and the Mid North.

Getting your site ready

A few things help any earthmoving and site-prep job go smoothly. Clear access for machinery and trucks makes a real difference, as does knowing roughly where services such as power, water and stormwater run so we can work around them. If you have a survey, engineering details or a site plan, sharing them up front lets us set levels and falls accurately from the start. And thinking about where spoil can go, or whether it needs to be carted off, helps us give you an accurate price. We are happy to walk the site with you and advise on all of it before any dirt moves.

Why choose us

Combining earthworks and concreting under one experienced crew is simply the cleaner way to run a job. You get a single quote, a single point of contact, and a base built precisely for the slab that sits on it. If your project needs the ground prepared as well as poured, ask us for a combined quote and keep the whole thing under one roof.
